Your on-device record

Episodes, optional condition context and ratings, things tried, questions, and visit selections stay on the device. The native development app uses an SQLCipher-encrypted database with a device-only secure-storage key and operating-system backup exclusions. Losing the device or key can mean losing the record. There is no cloud sync or recovery.

The browser preview uses unencrypted storage for fictional samples only. It is not a surface for real health information, and browser samples are not imported into native records.

Accounts, AI, and subscriptions

No Focalward account or app backend is required. SteadyLens does not send your journal to an AI service. Native store purchase and restore code is prepared but disabled by default. When store billing is enabled, Apple or Google and RevenueCat handle payment-access information under their policies. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app-user billing identifier, purchase, transaction, product, entitlement and subscription information, and applicable SDK technical metadata. Journal records, condition context, questions, and the device encryption key are not sent to RevenueCat. Store setup and billing acceptance are pending.

When available, an eligible trial starts only after store checkout confirmation, not after download or setup. Apple or Google shows eligibility, trial duration, localized pricing, renewal and future charges. Cancel through store settings before renewal to avoid the next charge. Restore purchases checks payment access; it cannot recover a lost journal or encryption key. New or edited episodes and things tried require active store access; retained record review, visit questions, selection, reviewed export and deletion remain available after access ends.

Information and research links

Official MedlinePlus and ClinicalTrials.gov links contain no journal details or automatic condition query. Those external sites have their own privacy policies. SteadyLens does not match you to a study, determine eligibility, enroll you, or transfer your journal into a research form.

Review, export, and deletion

You choose what to include in a visit brief, read it, and mark it reviewed before sharing. Changes require review again. The share destination then handles the text; shared or exported copies remain outside the app. SteadyLens attempts to clean up temporary app-created export files; retry cleanup in Settings if it fails.
